Job Title: Corporate Consolidations Controller

At Stream Realty Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Consolidations Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely consolidation of entities and preparation of parent company financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the monthly financial statement preparation and compilation of consolidated financial statements for the parent company and Stream Realty Partners organization.
  • Help stand up the consolidated financial reporting team and facilitate the creation of a systematic process for proper intercompany and affiliate consolidations and eliminations.
  • Support the SVP of Corporate Accounting in the design and development of the expediated close process and work with external auditors on the conversion of financials to US GAAP.
  • Lead and develop US GAAP policies and procedures for the Stream Realty Partners organization and prepare and bill Shared Services allocations to corporate entities monthly.
  • Monitor consolidated financial statements and ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with US GAAP, oversee and contribute to enhancements of internal controls, and maintain financial systems including partnership structures, standard reports, account posting rules, and G/L chart of accounts.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting for the parent company, review daily cash reconciliations, month-end bank reconciliations, and monitor daily cash position, and work with the Treasurer to support cash forecasts and projections.
  • Liaise with finance leaders of Treasury, Tax, Data Centers, Property Accounting, and Fund Accounting, lead ad hoc projects, and define processes to drive future growth and scalability.
  • Reviews and releases ACH and wire transfers for A/P payments and payroll funding, manage and develop staff, and provide coaching and mentorship to ensure professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline is required, CPA preferred.
  • At least 7 to 10+ years of corporate accounting experience, minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience (Big 4 a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 810 is required, knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 350, and ASC 360 is strongly preferred.
  • Commercial Real Estate, Brokerage, or Property Management industry experience is a plus, proficient knowledge of Excel including X-Lookups, V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, and possibly macro maintenance.
  • Yardi and/or Workday accounting software is a plus, ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality, create training documents and policy memos, and have concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have an executive presence and effectively collaborate across all levels of the organization, high attention to detail, and ability to work with a large amount of financial data.
