About the Role:

The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients through various channels, including industry events, sales calls, and online interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet sales targets set by the General Manager
  • Prospect for new customers through online research, phone calls, emails, and industry events
  • Complete a minimum number of sales calls and meetings in the assigned territory
  • Meet with existing clients to maintain relationships, develop new business, and gain referrals
  • Meet with prospective clients to establish company relationships, present capabilities, and assess testing needs
  • Schedule and complete phone and email contact with clients and prospects
  • Answer customer inquiries and direct technical questions to the appropriate personnel
  • Assist customers in coordinating sample testing
  • Prepare and send sales materials to clients and prospects
  • Resolve customer service issues with Client Services, Director of Sales and Marketing, and General Manager
  • Represent the company at industry events and functions
  • Maintain the company contact database
  • Prepare monthly reports for the Sales Director
  • Assist with marketing functions as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Life Science field or 2-5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Minimum 1-5 years of sales experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
