A Day in the Life of an Operations Supervisor:
- Oversee and direct work crews operating solid waste collection vehicles.
- Monitor daily operational progress, reallocating staff and making necessary staffing adjustments.
- Assist in developing and implementing safety objectives.
- Conduct field evaluations and audits of personnel to ensure adherence to proper procedures.
- Address and resolve customer complaints related to collection services.
- Engage in performance reviews and management discussions.
- Establish both short-term and long-term objectives and action plans for the Hauling Company.
- Manage a variety of intricate compliance programs, including environmental regulations, OSHA standards, and local permits.
Qualifications:
- Willingness to relocate for promotional opportunities based on performance.
- Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in transportation, trucking, or logistics is required.
- Possess or be able to obtain a Class B CDL within 90 days.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel and related business systems.
Compensation:
Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 Annually
Bonus: 0-10%
