About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Control Manager to join our team at the State of Maine. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our buildings and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of maintenance personnel to ensure the efficient and effective maintenance of our facilities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure that our facilities are well-maintained and meet the needs of our occupants.
  • Oversee the repair and replacement of equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in a safe and efficient manner, and that all necessary safety protocols are followed.
  • Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and repair activities, and ensure that all expenses are properly documented and accounted for.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as mechanical engineering or facilities management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supervising and managing a team of maintenance personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets, and to ensure that all expenses are properly documented and accounted for.
