Mobile Health Program Mammographer

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a highly skilled TH Medical Radiographer III to join our Mobile Health Program Mammography team at Stony Brook University Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide clinical services to our patient population, demonstrating superior patient care and outstanding communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Position patients, provide immobilization devices, and select proper technical factors to produce diagnostic imaging.
- Select and operate equipment as directed, providing protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
- Process exams, perform QA to images, and facilitate the delivery of images and exams to the PAC's system for dictation.
- Assist physicians in the administration of opaque media when applicable, practicing sterile techniques and preventing cross contamination.
- Delegate areas of authority in the performance of routine or special procedures, overseeing and instructing students or hospital personnel as needed.
- Conduct periodic quality control tests, participate in research, and maintain adequate records as directed.
- Rotate within the department and other departments, maintaining ethical relationships and adhering to hospital and departmental rules and regulations.
- Graduate of a Diagnostic Radiology Program.
- New York State Department of Health Licensed in Radiology Technology.
- Current ARRT and BLS Certification.
- Preferred qualifications include an Associate's degree, hospital experience, bilingualism in Spanish, and one year of experience in Radiology.
