Job Description

The Clinical Simulation Director and Operations Manager will coordinate and incorporate evolving curriculum changes into the instructional labs, assist with proposals for grants, and orient faculty, staff, and students to equipment used during instructional labs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate simulation and laboratory resources to ensure proper equipment and supplies are available at the right time and in working order.
  • Establish, administer, and maintain policies and procedures governing the overall operations of the facilities.
  • Strategically plan and facilitate utilization, growth, and efficacy of clinical skills and simulation facilities.
  • Participate in inter-professional learning activities promoting safe patient-centered, team-delivered, and interdisciplinary care.
  • Represent the school on university committees, activities, and events, as well as external user groups, conferences, and professional meetings.
  • Schedule lab facilities, resources, and staff to support curricular and extra-curricular use by faculty and students.
  • Oversee database management, partner with faculty and administration to establish protocols and mechanisms defining, tracking, and reporting on utilization and outcomes.
  • Administer inventory controls, support purchasing, and maintain necessary stocks of consumables.
  • Support accounts payable to facilitate payments to vendors, suppliers, and support operations.
  • Participate in hiring, orienting, and training personnel, technicians, and educators in collaboration with nursing leadership.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Nursing required.
  • Current un-incumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia.
  • Experience/certification with high fidelity simulation.
  • CHSOS, CHSE, CHSE-A, or comparable certification preferred.
  • One year in supervisory position preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated annual salary: $70,000 - $90,000 based on qualifications and experience. Comprehensive benefits package including Supplemental Personal Insurance (AFLAC), 403(b) Retirement Plan – Group Supplemental Retirement Account (GSRA), Trinity Center Membership Free to all employees, free campus parking, and shuttle bus service between campus and Brookland Metro station.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, non-tenure track position requiring adaptability, flexibility, and effective communication skills. Able to adjust schedule as activities dictate.
