PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Maintain precise records of student absences and generate comprehensive reports using the student data management system.
- Manage daily office operations and administrative tasks.
- Organize and file essential records.
- Respond to phone inquiries regarding student absences and general school information.
- Monitor and track student attendance and tardiness.
- Prepare reports for attendance-related correspondence.
- Support student health services as needed.
- Submit reports to data processing.
- Complete attendance record requests for external agencies on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

CLASSIFICATION
Secretarial-Clerical Group T
7 hours per day. Nine (9) months.
$16.95 per hour

PREPARATION, EXPERIENCE SKILLS
- Proficient in computer and word processing operations.
- Proven experience in a responsible secretarial role.
- Ability to perform under pressure with frequent interruptions.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, students, and the public.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Strong numerical aptitude.
- Accurate typing skills.
- Professional representation of the school.
- Flexibility in adapting to changing tasks.

The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp items.

The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk more than the average person while performing the duties of this job.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds 0 to 12 feet and occasionally up to 20 feet, such as curriculum materials, desks, chairs, and boxes.

The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as tables and carts.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus while supervising students and working with computers, written materials, reports, assessment data, etc.
