Company Overview: Puget Sound Pipe & Supply is a leading wholesale distributor specializing in pipe, valves, and fittings across the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. We are seeking a dedicated individual to become a vital part of our warehouse operations at our Spokane, WA location.

Position Summary: The selected candidate will be responsible for the safe and precise handling of materials, including receiving, storing, and processing shipments. This role also involves ensuring timely delivery of orders to our valued customers.

Work Environment: Hired candidates will be expected to work onsite at the branch location. Please note that relocation assistance is not available.

Compensation: The Warehouse Associate/Driver position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $22.00, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and verify inbound shipments.
  • Organize and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Prepare and package customer orders and inter-branch transfers.
  • Ensure timely shipping and delivery of materials and orders.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Adhere to OSHA and DOT regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Locate and retrieve materials from the warehouse and pipe yard for delivery.
  • Utilize forklifts for loading and unloading materials.
  • Experience with box vans or flatbed trucks is advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred background in warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Forklift experience with the ability to obtain certification.
  • Basic math and computer proficiency.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with RF scanning technology.
  • Capability to lift heavy materials and packages.
  • Understanding of inventory management principles.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial and industrial pipe, valves, and fittings.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening.
  • Clear background check.
  • Maintain a current and clean driving record.
