SUMMARY
This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and plays a crucial role in the formulation and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures. The incumbent will prepare internal communications concerning employee relations, organizational policies, compensation, training, and benefits. A comprehensive understanding of standard Human Resources practices and procedures is essential to promote effective service delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws regarding employment, safety, employee relations, and equal opportunity policies.
- Providing expert guidance to management and staff on various issues including employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Conducting thorough investigations into employee-related issues to determine appropriate resolutions.
- Researching and responding to agency charges and representing the company in unemployment hearings.
- Training staff on updates to HR programs and procedures.
- Supporting supervisors in following disciplinary processes and other HR-related activities.
- Maintaining accurate records to meet regulatory and corporate standards.
- Facilitating the exit interview process to gather insights on employee separations.
- Preparing offer letters for various employment types and managing the recruitment process.
- Administering employee benefits and maintaining Human Resources information systems.
- Establishing professional relationships with recruitment agencies.
- Analyzing compensation programs to ensure alignment with business strategies.
- Participating in market surveys to assess the company's competitive position.
- Overseeing the employee performance evaluation process.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor's Degree is mandatory; an advanced degree is advantageous.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in Human Resources is required.
- Professional certification is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong grasp of federal regulations related to Human Resources, possess basic financial acumen, and exhibit project management skills. Effective collaboration with employees at all levels is essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication, motivational, and organizational skills are required. The individual must be able to interpret policies and regulations effectively and communicate in English.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment includes exposure to office and manufacturing settings, requiring adherence to safety protocols. The role may involve navigating various departments and occasional exposure to hazardous materials.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employees must be able to move throughout the facility, engage in communication, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. The ability to lift up to 40 pounds may be necessary.
