Speech Language Pathologist

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Sentara Healthcare, you will play a vital role in improving the lives of our patients by assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs that address speech, swallowing, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Your expertise will enable you to provide age-appropriate education to clients and caregivers, while also supervising and assuming responsibility for care provided by team members.
To be successful in this role, you must be certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP) and have at least one year of experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with speech and language disorders
- Provide education and training to clients and caregivers on speech and language strategies
- Supervise and mentor team members to ensure high-quality patient care
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in speech and language pathology
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology
- ASHA certification for CCC-SLP
- State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
