Job Title: Sous Chef

At Treasure Bay LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in the Den. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the consistency and quality of all food products and customer service.
  2. Lead and manage the kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  3. Oversee the organization and cleanliness of all kitchen areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
  4. Monitor and maintain accurate records of cooler and freezer temperatures, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  5. Conduct regular checks of coolers, ensuring they are swept and mopped, and ingredients are properly rotated, wrapped, and labeled.
  6. Manage inventory for the Den, completing counts and entering data into the computer for COGS calculation.
  7. Cost out and complete weekly transfers to and from the Den, as well as report and manage waste.
  8. Maintain knowledge of commercial kitchen operations and ensure all staff adhere to recipes and service specifications.
  9. Assist in the preparation, execution, and serving of menu items, ensuring timely service and guest satisfaction.
  10. Communicate with staff, management, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with a degree from a post-secondary culinary arts training program and a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cook III, plus 3 years in another food preparation position. A ServSafe certification is also required.

Physical Requirements:

The successful candidate must be able to walk, bend, lift, stand for long periods, and possess good eye-hand coordination, depth perception, and effective verbal communication skills.
