Job Summary:

The Program Director will oversee the daily operations of the Adult Day Program, ensuring that our services meet the unique needs of each individual. This includes developing and implementing Individual Service Plans (ISPs), coordinating behavioral supports, and supervising a team of Direct Support Professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Direct Support Professionals to provide coaching, mentoring, and encouragement to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Ensure meaningful community integration activities for the people we serve.
  • Develop and implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and coordinate behavioral supports.
  • Oversight of all Day Program operations, including developing and monitoring quality services, budgets, and financial responsibilities, facility, and fleet management.
  • Training and supervision of staff.
  • Compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders and regulators, including families, residential providers, Harbor Regional Center, and Community Care Licensing.
Requirements:
  • 3 years' experience in a human services delivery system working with individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • At least 1 year in a management or supervisory position OR 2 years of experience or training in one of the following:
    • Care and supervision of individuals served in a licensed adult day program or an adult day health care facility.
    • Care and supervision of one or more of the categories of persons to be served by the day program.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Pass a criminal background check (FBI/DOJ).
  • Physician's clearance and TB test clearance.
  • Able to lift/transfer up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field (Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Allied Health, Educational Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, etc.).
  • Experience working with Regional Centers, Community Care Licensing, and knowledge of Title 22 and Title 17 regulations.
  • Experience working in Day Programs for adults living with disabilities.
