Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bicycle Technician to join our team at Headlands Ventures LLC. As a Bicycle Technician, you will be responsible for performing high-quality repairs and maintenance on bicycles, providing exceptional customer service, and working collaboratively with our team to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and Maintenance: Execute successful repairs independently to meet company standards, ensuring that all work is completed to a high level of quality and accuracy.
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers in person and via phone regarding the status of their bicycle repair, providing timely updates and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Task Management: Complete daily tasks as assigned within prescribed timelines, communicating any exceptions to the General Manager and ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest technical aspects of bicycle repair and new products by completing assigned training modules, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.
  • Tool Maintenance: Maintain tools and work area on a daily basis, adhering to company standards and ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Safety Protocols: Familiarize yourself with our safety program and follow all safety procedures when using equipment, including wearing required safety gear when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Communication Skills: Possess good communication skills and independent problem-solving skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and customers.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 30 lbs overhead and 50 lbs to shoulder height, as well as stand at a bike repair stand for an entire 8-hour work shift.
  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hand tools with repetitive motions, including twisting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work in a goal-oriented, disciplined environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Scheduling: Flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
