Senior AI Hardware Architect

Microsoft Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Senior AI Hardware Architect to join our Strategic Planning and Architecture (SPARC) team within Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure (AHSI) organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for architecting large-scale systems that support breakthrough performance AI workloads and shaping Azure's AI infrastructure roadmap.
Responsibilities:- Analyze hardware architecture for AI workloads and develop novel neural network architectures.
- Drive NN model/HW co-design and benchmark GPUs and other AI hardware IPs.
- Understand business-critical AI workloads and applications, and develop and analyze novel NN architectures.
- Embody our culture and values, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
- 7+ years of technical engineering experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in computer architecture or AI systems.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
- MS/PhD in machine learning, computer architecture/systems, electrical engineering, high-performance computing, or related areas.
- Knowledge of commonly used AI and HPC workloads and how they are mapped onto large-scale systems.
- Hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch/TensorFlow/TensorRT.
