Overview

Microsoft is a leader in the design of world-class devices. As a Performance Architect, you will be part of the dynamic Microsoft Silicon Architecture team, responsible for architecting Microsoft AI Accelerator (MAIA) Silicon and driving innovation. Our team is a growing group of experienced silicon developers working in a startup environment, driven by a growth mindset, innovation, and collaboration to achieve our shared goals.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and accelerate AI application performance on Microsoft's custom Artificial Intelligence (AI) accelerators.
  • Understand and analyze the boundaries of hardware and software interfaces on forward-looking algorithms.
  • Prototype opportunities for performance and power optimizations, and trade-offs on AI collaboration with hardware and software implementation teams to guide the direction of deep learning hardware and software.
