Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical and Civil Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing technical requirements, concepts, principles, standards, and methods to ensure the mechanical engineering and fire protection portion of building construction and land development projects are designed and constructed in accordance with the required operational and functional criteria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review technical requirements, concepts, principles, standards, and methods for mechanical engineering and fire protection projects
  • Provide technical responsibility for planning, organizing, and conducting technical project reviews at locations in the DC area and around the country
  • Apply industry standard design and construction means and methods to projects
  • Conduct independent technical investigations involving the origination or modification of material and component or process specifications and requirements
  • Write business and technical documentation for mechanical engineering functions, responsibilities, and processes
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience as a mechanical, civil, or construction engineer
  • Experience with federal regulations, codes, and industry standards, including the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience reviewing construction drawings and developing cost estimations for construction projects
  • Experience communicating regularly with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Ability to comprehend and adopt non-US standard design and construction means and methods
  • Ability to travel domestically 20% of the time
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193, annualized USD.
