Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

On-call: 6 shifts every 6 weeks, including 1 weekend.

Location: Must reside within a 30-minute commute to the medical facility.

POSITION SUMMARY The Cardiovascular Invasive Technician plays a vital role in assisting Physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology lab procedures. This position involves preparing the procedure room and equipment, guiding patients, monitoring their conditions, and delivering both routine and emergency care throughout the procedures. Additionally, the technician contributes to the training and orientation of new team members and participates in quality control initiatives through auditing and reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist Physicians with arteriograms, catheterizations, and various cardiac device implantations.
  • Adhere to national and state radiation safety regulations for patients and staff. Provide emergency interventions as necessary.
  • Conduct pre and post-procedure care and monitoring for patients.
  • Educate patients about catheterization or electrophysiology procedures to alleviate concerns.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and notify Physicians of any abnormalities.
  • Operate RF/Cryo ablation systems and manage procedural documentation.
  • Maintain and manage imaging data related to cardiac and peripheral cases.
  • Assist in the collection of quality data and registry forms during procedures.
  • Prepare and uphold sterile environments for lab procedures.
  • Manage inventory and ensure that procedure rooms are adequately stocked with supplies.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of complex equipment.
  • Support the training of new staff and students as directed by supervisors.
  • Engage in quality control monitoring and participate in departmental committees and initiatives.
  • Facilitate patient transport to and from procedural areas.
  • Exhibit strong customer service skills throughout all interactions.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • EDUCATION - Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 year of relevant experience.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION
  • ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Must possess one of the following: ARRT-R, CCDS, CEPS, MRT, RCES, or RCIS certifications.
