Position Summary:
The Cardiovascular Invasive Technician plays a crucial role in assisting physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. This position involves preparing the procedure room and equipment, monitoring patient conditions, and providing both routine and emergency care throughout the procedures. The technician also contributes to the training and orientation of new team members and participates in quality control initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians with various procedures including arteriograms, catheterizations, and device implantations.
  • Ensure compliance with national and state radiation safety regulations.
  • Provide emergency care as needed, including CPR and defibrillation.
  • Conduct pre and post-procedure patient care and monitoring.
  • Prepare and maintain sterile environments for procedures.
  • Manage inventory and ensure all necessary supplies are available and up to date.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to performance improvement initiatives.
  • Support patient transport to and from procedural areas.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
  • Associate's degree in a relevant field, or
  • Completion of a military training program with equivalent experience, or
  • Two years of relevant experience in a cardiovascular lab setting.

Certifications:
Applicants must obtain ACLS and BLS certifications within 30 days of hire. Additional certifications such as ARRT-R, RCIS, or CEPS are preferred.
