Position Overview

The Director of Outpatient Services will collaborate closely with the Chief Clinical Officer to deliver strategic leadership across outpatient divisions. This role is pivotal in fostering engagement, promoting accountability for departmental and organizational objectives, and actively participating in initiatives that enhance both hospital operations and community health.

Key outpatient divisions encompass Outpatient Therapy, Wound Care Center, Sleep Disorders Center, Outpatient Diabetes Management, as well as Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. The Director will spearhead efforts to innovate, expand, and drive transformation within these designated outpatient sectors. Reporting directly to the Chief Clinical Officer, this position plays a crucial role in the organization's success.

Employment Type: Full-time, salaried position.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related healthcare discipline.
  • Required: Master's degree in Business Administration or Health Administration.
  • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of progressive clinical and leadership experience, ideally within the relevant service area.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Current licensure in clinical specialty.

Essential Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven skills as both a team leader and an effective team member.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate for problem-solving and a defined sense of urgency in achieving goals.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly in Windows and Meditech environments, with a readiness to embrace new technologies as they are implemented.
  • Capability to manage complex projects alongside routine responsibilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse personalities, demonstrating tact, maturity, and flexibility.
  • Proficient in reasoning, decision-making, and exercising sound judgment.
