About the Role

Logistics Insurance and Claims is on the lookout for a Senior Program Manager (SPM) to take charge of the post-reporting management process for road incidents. Our mission is straightforward: to design and enhance essential insurance programs for Amazon's Last and Middle Mile logistics networks on a global scale. We achieve this by developing insurance solutions that safeguard and empower the network of entrepreneurs and business owners collaborating with Amazon to enhance delivery flexibility, speed, and reliability for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of projects related to Incident Identification and Intake, which includes gathering requirements, defining project scope, managing timelines, and overseeing resources.
  • Collaborate with product managers to create a seamless incident experience from occurrence to resolution for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, simplifying and streamlining existing incident reporting processes under a unified strategy.
  • Develop and implement the program roadmap for incident reporting, aligning various stakeholders with your vision while considering business objectives and user needs.
  • Own the on-road incident intake and reporting domain, ensuring alignment of diverse stakeholders to your vision and roadmap.
  • Contribute to engineering discussions regarding technology decisions and strategies related to your programs.
  • Collect necessary data at the first notice of incident (FNOI), facilitating downstream processes and integrating existing intake and reporting solutions under a cohesive strategy.
  • Be accountable for financial, regulatory, and operational risk management associated with the program, prioritizing the closure of any gaps or findings.
  • Engage with internal customers and key stakeholders, including safety, technical, and operations teams.
  • Design processes with a global perspective, ensuring consistency in the support experience for users across all regions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical product or program management.
  • 7+ years of direct experience working with engineering teams.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, establishing sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Experience in logistics incident management, commercial insurance claims, corporate investigations, or related fields.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on multiple factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a total compensation package, alongside a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
