About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Professional to join our team as a Hospital Assistant at the University of California, Irvine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of our experienced nursing team.
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and patient transfers.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to address concerns and provide support.
Requirements
  • Current California Nurses Assistant Certification
  • Current BLS provider certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year acute care experience as a C.N.A.
  • High School graduate or equivalent or above
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
Physical Requirements

The position involves standing and walking for long periods of time, approximately 75% of the workday. The ability to transfer and lift patients as necessary is required. The weight of patients will vary, and the individual must have the dexterity, coordination, and visual and auditory acuity to perform all job responsibilities. Effective communication, both verbally and in writing, is essential.
