Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic patient care, including vital sign monitoring and documentation
  • Assist with patient transfers and lifts, as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
Requirements
  • Current California Nurses Assistant Certification
  • Current BLS provider certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year acute care experience as a C.N.A.
  • High School graduate or equivalent or above
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
Working Conditions

The Patient Care Specialist will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, approximately 75% of the workday. The position requires the ability to transfer and lift patients as necessary, and to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
