Job Summary:

The Substance Abuse Counselor will be responsible for conducting individual and group sessions to assist patients in managing crisis situations and developing coping strategies. You will also evaluate patient progress and collaborate with medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial assessments and evaluations to determine service eligibility
  • Deliver counseling services to patients in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner
  • Develop and review treatment plans with patients to ensure their needs are met
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Respond to patient grievances and complaints in a timely and professional manner
Requirements:
  • LISW, LPCC, LISW-S, LICDC-CS, LICDC, LCDC II, LCDC III, or LSW required
  • Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals preferred
  • Knowledge of local community drug trends and the effects of substance abuse
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
