Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Bellefaire JCB is a leading provider of mental health, substance abuse, education, and prevention services. We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in our residential treatment services.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide holistic nursing care to clients in our behavioral health and autism residential treatment services. This includes developing therapeutic relationships with clients, utilizing verbal and non-verbal techniques, and communicating effectively with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Providers, Registered Nurses, and other healthcare professionals with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, and vital signs within your scope of practice.
  • Implement provider orders, administer medication, and document client care.
  • Submit regular reports to the provider as requested.
  • Consult with residential staff as needed.
  • Collect objective and subjective client data, report symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in client conditions to the registered nurse or provider, and document.
  • Coordinate client transfers to outside healthcare providers or medical facilities.
  • Participate in training orientation of new employees of the residential health clinic.
  • Maintain proper use and storage of all medical supplies, equipment, etc.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio.
  • Experience working with clients with mental health and autism diagnoses.
  • Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with clients and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of medications and their effects on clients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
