Position Summary:
We are in search of a proficient Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to manage the setup and upkeep of our industrial machinery. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient functioning of our mechanical systems and equipment. Your responsibilities will encompass the installation of new machinery, conducting routine maintenance, and diagnosing equipment failures.
Your primary objective will be to maintain operational efficiency and address any issues promptly to prevent escalation. The scope of your duties may include:
- Installing new machinery while interpreting technical documentation, reading schematics, and sourcing necessary replacement components for repairs.
- Performing maintenance and servicing on equipment such as motors, conveyor belts, transmission systems, and other production-related machinery.
- Disassembling and reassembling equipment like gearboxes, pumps, and valves, along with repairing or replacing worn or faulty components. Experience in troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential.
- Diagnosing PLC systems and other control mechanisms, as well as installing wiring for power and control. Repairing and installing AC/DC motors, starters, relays, and drives.
Evaluating and ensuring the functionality of production machinery is vital.
- Identifying and rectifying standard electrical components and resolving minor equipment issues before they escalate.
- Adjusting mechanical components using hand tools and machinery.
- Fabricating parts for repairs and upgrades to machinery.
- Conducting preventive maintenance according to established schedules, cleaning and lubricating equipment, and assessing operational conditions. Identifying root causes of equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborating with the production team and ensuring a tidy work environment.
- Documenting and submitting maintenance reports.
- Creating and implementing preventive maintenance strategies.
- Assisting in the development and management of the maintenance department's budget.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records for equipment and supplies.
- Addressing potential safety risks to prevent accidents.
