Bereavement Program Manager, LGBTQIA+ Youth Support

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bereavement Program Manager to join our team at the Hetrick-Martin Institute. As a key member of our Youth Services Department, you will be responsible for leading our bereavement support services for LGBTQIA+ youth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and consult with counseling and case management staff and graduate interns to ensure high-quality support services for LGBTQIA+ youth.
  • Develop and implement bereavement support projects, including training and capacity-building initiatives for partner organizations.
  • Provide individual and group clinical support to youth members, including counseling, crisis intervention, and case coordination.
  • Collaborate with other HMI departments and external agencies to ensure continuity of care and meet contractual requirements.
  • Track and analyze program data to inform service delivery and improve outcomes for LGBTQIA+ youth.

Requirements:

  • LMSW, LCSW, LCAT, LCAT-P, or LMHC required.
  • At least three years of experience working with diverse populations of adolescents in an urban setting, including LGBTQIA+ youth.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, positive youth development models, and harm reduction practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
