The New York State Office of Mental Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Program Manager to lead the development and implementation of mental health services in a fully managed care system.

As a Clinical Program Manager, you will be responsible for directing new regional multi-disciplinary teams of professionals focused on improving care and care transitions for individuals with complex needs throughout the continuum of care.

You will provide technical assistance to the provider community to ensure compliance and knowledge of OMH regulations, guidelines, and notifications; share information to improve communications, accountability, and quality of care through linkages.

Additionally, you will evaluate employee performance and prepare performance programs and evaluations, ensuring subordinate staff are knowledgeable and up-to-date on policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, nursing, mental health counseling, psychoanalysis, or rehabilitation counseling, and five years of professional clinical experience in a behavioral health program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Directing regional teams to provide hospital coordination to Articles 31 and Article 28 mental health emergency departments, CPEPS, and inpatient units around patient transport, evaluation, disposition, admission, and discharge.
  • Advising Central Office on regional specific needs, working with Field Office Directors to evaluate effectiveness, improve coordination of care, identify gaps in services, and disseminate information.
  • Providing technical assistance to the provider community to ensure compliance and knowledge of OMH regulations, guidelines, and notifications.
  • Evaluating employee performance and preparing performance programs and evaluations.
