STG International is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a correctional healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct care to patients within the scope of practice and perform functions in accordance with current accepted practice, licensure, certification, credentialing, and granted privileges.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Respond to and coordinate responses to medical emergencies as needed.
- Document patient encounters electronically according to current standards of care using electronic health records.
- Evaluate the healthcare needs of residents and develop nursing care plans to meet those needs.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Have practiced the equivalent of two years full-time as a registered nurse.
- Minimum 2,000 hours (equivalent to 1 year of full-time) work experience in psychiatric-mental health nursing as a licensed registered nurse, in a hospital, medical office, or residential setting within the last 3 years.
- Board Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or eligible and must obtain within one year of start date.
- Must have the ability to work the required schedule: 2 dedicated night shifts and then rotating days.
- Associate's or baccalaureate Registered Nurse degree from a program accredited by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Current, full, and unrestricted licensed as Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
- One year of professional experience as a licensed registered nurse.
- Completed 30 hours of continuing education in psychiatric-mental health nursing within the last three years.
- Experience in a detention/correctional healthcare setting (preferred, not required).
- BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association.
- Must be able to pass a federal government security background check.
