Job Title: Assistant Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Assistant Girls' Upper School Lacrosse Coach to join our team at The Hun School of Princeton.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will report to the Head Girls' Varsity Lacrosse Coach and Co-Directors of Athletics, and will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the Girls' Lacrosse program, including developing training programs, supervising practices, and ensuring a positive environment aligned with our school's mission.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Varsity Girls' Lacrosse coach in developing and implementing training programs, including monitoring practices and skill development.
  • Supervise the proper use of equipment and inventory, including uniforms, and ensure timely communication with the Co-Directors.
  • Perform support tasks as needed by the Head Coach or athletic department, including attendance and other related records.
  • Ensure a positive environment aligned with our school's mission, and effectively communicate and collaborate with co-directors, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Promote the program within the school and in the community to support the admissions process, and assist players who are interested in the college recruiting process.
  • Contribute to Hun community life beyond the practice and competition venue to assist in furthering the mission of the school.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years coaching experience at a High School or college is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships with students, staff, parents, alumni, and community members.
  • Ability to foster a positive team spirit as well as individual skill improvement.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule that includes some nights and weekends.
  • First Aid and CPR training - or have the ability to be trained.
  • A love for working with young people and a commitment to a diverse and inclusive community.
  • A desire to contribute to school life outside of the classroom on a lively boarding school campus.
