Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients in troubleshooting routine and recurring technical issues.
  • Maintain and update help desk ticketing systems to monitor, identify, and address customer requirements.
  • Support the installation, configuration, and testing of software on user workstations, as well as the installation, configuration, upgrading, and troubleshooting of hardware and software components.
  • Facilitate both formal and informal training sessions, providing guidance and assistance to users.
  • Offer routine advice and support to clients seeking information on established policies or procedures, particularly those related to information security and assurance.
  • Collaborate with teams responsible for planning and delivering comprehensive customer support services.
  • Engage in internal meetings, sharing insights and assisting senior specialists in preparation for these discussions.
  • Provide ongoing advice and support to clients as needed.
Qualifications: This position involves specific, routine tasks designed to familiarize the intern with IT Systems Customer Support Services. Candidates should possess knowledge of and skills in applying fundamental IT principles, methods, and practices, as well as IT systems security protocols, enabling them to gather and analyze basic information and provide assistance on common issues.

Additional Requirements:
  • Aged between 18 and 24 years
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or U.S. National
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational program
  • Must have received COVID-19 vaccination
Work Environment: The role is primarily sedentary; however, some tasks may require walking and standing during customer site visits, travel, and attendance at meetings and training sessions away from the primary work location. The position may also involve the handling of light items, such as documents, books, or small components, and lifting various IT equipment with assistance.

Transportation Requirements: A valid state driver's license is necessary for driving government vehicles. Reliable transportation to and from the workplace is essential.

  • Compensation of $18 per hour
  • Full-time commitment for 16 weeks
  • Opportunity to complete 10% of work remotely
