Art Manager Job Description

Meta is seeking an experienced Art Manager to lead our team of artists in creating visually stunning experiences for our users. As an Art Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the art direction, production, and delivery of high-quality art assets for our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of artists to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality art assets.
  • Develop and maintain art direction, ensuring consistency and quality across all projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure art assets meet project requirements and are delivered on time.
  • Evaluate and implement improvements to the art content pipeline, process, and tools.
  • Communicate effectively with artists, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and expectations.
  • Set clear goals, provide direction, and ensure the team understands how their work fits into the larger picture.
  • Support career development and discuss performance with team members.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience leading an internal art team.
  • Experience leading multiple titles from concept through launch as an Art Lead or IC.
  • Demonstrated experience with Maya, Photoshop, Perforce, ZBrush, and Unity or similar game engine.
  • Results-oriented, empathetic coach and mentor with a track record of growing artists' skills and bringing out their best work.
  • Effective team leader with a positive and motivating point of view to inspire and focus the team to deliver visually stunning work.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience building content for live service and free-to-play product.
  • Connected with current and emerging tools, technologies, and methodologies for Art production.
  • Experience on full development cycles in AAA.
Compensation:

$149,000/year to $205,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
