About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at SSM Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Operating Room. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the Operating Room environment, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.
  • Assist the surgical team with patient preparation, positioning, and draping, as well as maintaining aseptic technique throughout the procedure.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient information, including vital signs, medications, and surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a technical program for operating room technicians.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery - Certified (NCCT) certification.
