Job Summary

The Product Marketing Engineer will play a key role in supporting the growth of BAC's products in North America. This individual will be responsible for developing regional product requirements, creating product launch plans, and leading cross-functional launch activities. They will also be responsible for identifying product needs, performing market research, and guiding business functions through sales and market data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop regional product requirements with Global Marketing team
  • Create product launch plans and lead cross-functional launch activities
  • Identify product needs related to performance, codes and standards, and competition
  • Perform market research and guide business functions through sales and market data
  • Develop business cases and set orders targets for new products with the sales team
  • Recommend and support development of technical literature and digital sales tools
  • Assist with market segmentation and product positioning
  • Create and maintain product pricing and report changes in market pricing levels
  • Deliver persuasive presentations to BAC executives, sales representatives, customers, and industry groups
  • Improve market position by representing BAC within industry organizations
  • Partner with Sales and Product Applications teams to strengthen product expertise of sales representatives and customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing with the appropriate level of experience and engineering coursework; MBA is a plus
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in HVAC or industrial equipment markets
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated previous experience with new product launches
  • Product management experience
  • Strong business acumen with experience in analyzing financial and sales data
  • Skilled in product management with experience in pricing analysis, payback analysis, and product positioning
  • Strong project management experience with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Skilled in market research and communicating market needs and trends to influence business strategies and new product development
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365, including Excel and PowerPoint

Working conditions include those of a normal office environment, as well as the standard hazards associated with construction sites. This position requires occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs and travel up to 15% of the time.
