Position Overview:
Wells Fargo is looking for a Senior Compliance Specialist to support the Director in the Consumer Lending Shared Services (CLSS) Compliance team, focusing on Complaints Management and governance functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and uphold risk standards and programs to ensure adherence to federal, state, agency, legal, regulatory, and Corporate Policy requirements.
  • Supervise the Front Line's compliance-related decisions and address challenges appropriately.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Consumer Lending Compliance Complaints.
  • Collaborate closely with Consumer Lending Business Aligned Compliance Officers and Complaints Oversight on all matters related to complaints.
  • Provide updates on complaints analysis and related topics to the Complaints Oversight team, senior management, and business lines.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses on specific complaints topics to deliver insights to senior management.
  • Oversee and monitor risk-based compliance programs, developing and maintaining standards.
  • Offer subject matter expertise with a thorough understanding of business and functional areas.
  • Provide compliance risk guidance for projects and initiatives with moderate risk.
  • Monitor reporting, escalation, and timely resolution of compliance risk management issues.
  • Work with offshore teams to generate monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Guide the business in creating corrective action plans and managing regulatory changes effectively.
  • Lead initiatives within Consumer Lending Compliance to enhance complaint-related processes and drive efficiencies.
  • Identify and propose opportunities for process improvements and risk control development.
  • Report findings and make recommendations to management and relevant committees.
  • Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements while collaborating with peers and managers to resolve issues.
  • Participate in key meetings related to complaints and work with complex business units on compliance matters.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Compliance or equivalent experience through work, training, military service, or education.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in handling complaints and compliance within the lending sector.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and partnership skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting purposes.
  • Ability to enhance processes and introduce efficiencies.
  • Experience with governance functions and familiarity with policies and procedures.

Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with required locations specified. Relocation assistance is not available, and the position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
