Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure rooms are set according to contract specifications.
  • Prepare rooms for events, adjusting lighting, sound volumes, and temperature as needed.
  • Communicate with banquet management staff regarding special needs and ensure events run smoothly.
  • Assist in ensuring timely execution of events and relay any issues to the Banquet Manager.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all venue areas.
  • Communicate any areas of need, problems, or concerns to the Banquet Manager.
  • Update inventory of conference center equipment monthly and store in designated areas.
  • Work with banquet and sales staff to transport items for outdoor events.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, delivering a lasting experience for guests.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company standards.
  • Deliver food and beverages to guests, ensuring timely service.
  • Assist with events and food and beverage services, including serving tables, clearing plates, and running food to and from buffet lines.
  • Deliver alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests.
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the Banquet Manager.
  • Greet guests warmly and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
  • Understand and communicate products and services available at the resort.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, including S.E.E. (Smile, Eye Contact, Engage).
  • Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year of banquet or serving experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral communication skills required.
  • Positive interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to speak English fluently and write in basic English.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects of 25-50 lbs.
  • Food Handlers Card and OLCC Certification required.
Working Conditions

This position may be indoor or outdoor, with varying weather conditions. A varying schedule, including evenings, holidays, and extended hours, is expected.
