Job Summary:

The General Manager is responsible for directing, managing, and optimizing a branch production facility's overall operations and financial performance. This role reports to the Regional Manager and requires exceptional leadership skills to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage multi-functional plant teams, including customer service, plant and equipment maintenance, production, quality assurance, and human resources.
  • Ensure high levels of service quality and customer satisfaction by implementing effective processes and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Collect and analyze operational metrics to set performance targets and drive revenue and cost goals.
  • Support the development and deployment of processing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure robust plant safety and security procedures are implemented to meet OSHA and other required regulations.
  • May lead labor relations negotiations and engage with union leadership involving branch operations.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of managerial experience in production, sales, or service, preferably within the industrial laundry or linen supply industries.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Strong commitment to superior customer service and business growth.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff, with a focus on employee development and growth opportunities.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding, safety, or other violations.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in management, engineering, finance, or equivalent preferred.

Work Environment:

General office environment, vehicles on public roads, customer locations, and areas of a typical industrial laundry facility.

Travel Requirements:

Regularly driving by vehicle within a designated branch territory, with occasional travel by plane.
