As an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer, WM values diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The Area Supply Chain Project Manager role is responsible for managing suppliers to achieve performance, cost, and compliance goals.

This position works closely with Strategic Sourcing Managers and Area Supply Chain leaders to qualify new suppliers, negotiate pricing, and manage supplier performance.

The successful candidate will provide support to internal customers, participate in special projects, and enhance the department's effectiveness.

Key responsibilities include developing and communicating sourcing strategies, monitoring and reporting supplier performance, and providing feedback to suppliers.

The Area Supply Chain Project Manager will also identify sources of data for performance metrics, create processes to collect data, and champion collection efforts.

Quarterly performance data will be reported to the Area Supply Chain Manager, and the role will support supplier business reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Relevant work experience in procurement/supply chain is also required.

Preferred qualifications include 6 Sigma, Lean Methodologies, and advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
