Job Summary

The Senior Equipment Planner will be responsible for budgeting, planning, and identifying capital equipment needs for construction, remodel, and medical equipment replacement projects. This role will provide technical information and advice on equipment needs, including equipment standards, utilization, and pricing, as well as construction, space, and scope of project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budgeting and planning for capital equipment needs
  • Providing technical information and advice on equipment needs
  • Coordinating with academic, clinical, and administrative committees and staff members
  • Preparing and providing supervision and periodic review of reports and documentation
  • Overseeing site visits, special studies, and analysis of new technology required in capital projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in architecture, planning, education/business administration, or industrial engineering
  • Three (3+) or more years of related experience in equipment planning for construction and remodel projects, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Experience and working knowledge of building and construction, design, construction contract administration, and California Building Codes
  • Experience working with high-value hospital/clinical capital equipment procurement programs
  • Experience with supply chain management, including supply chain logistics, procurement, inventory management, and contract management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Four (4+) or more years of related experience in equipment planning for construction and remodel projects, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Experience with medical equipment validation and procurement
  • Experience with Attainia capital equipment planning software
