POSITION OVERVIEW
The Production Assembler II plays a crucial role in interpreting and executing schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to ascertain material requirements for assembly tasks. This position involves assembling electrical and electronic systems or support structures to install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or casings utilizing various tools such as rivets, bolts, soldering, or micro-welding instruments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Adjust, repair, or replace electrical and electronic components to rectify defects while ensuring compliance with specifications.
2. Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly processes.
3. Communicate assembly procedures or techniques to team members.
4. Conduct functional testing procedures as required.
5. Read and interpret bills of materials and technical drawings.
6. Perform setups using basic tools, jigs, and testing equipment.
7. Review necessary equipment protocols for setup with a focus on complexity.
8. Execute additional job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Competencies:
  • Knowledge of Production and Processing: Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for optimizing the manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Electronics Knowledge: Familiarity with circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware/software, including applications and programming.
  • Mechanical Knowledge: Awareness of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Engineering and Technology: Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment for designing and producing goods and services.

  • Complex Problem Solving: Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Critical Thinking: Utilizing logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

  • Reading Comprehension: Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
  • Quality Control Analysis: Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to assess performance.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE:
5-7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis, along with other Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP environments and database planning tools is required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Goal-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks consistently in a dynamic environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in effectively conveying key data, including presentations to senior management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Keying, typing, sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, or lifting up to 50 lbs. Constant mental and/or visual attention is required, with work being either repetitive or diversified, necessitating constant alertness in a manufacturing setting.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The position is typically performed under comfortable working conditions, with any disagreeable elements generally absent during normal job performance. Compliance with company attendance standards is expected. The noise level in the work environment may vary from intense in manufacturing settings to moderate in other situations.
