Job Overview

The Advanced Production Assembler plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by interpreting and executing assembly tasks based on detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications. This position requires a keen understanding of materials and assembly techniques to effectively construct electrical and electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly Execution: Assemble components, units, and subassemblies using various tools and techniques such as riveting, bolting, soldering, and micro-welding.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct adjustments, repairs, or replacements of electrical components to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members to explain assembly procedures and techniques.
  • Testing: Perform functional tests to validate the performance of assembled products.
  • Documentation: Read and comprehend bills of materials and technical drawings to guide assembly processes.
  • Setup and Calibration: Utilize basic tools and jigs for setup and calibration of equipment.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Production Knowledge: Familiarity with raw materials, production processes, and quality control methods.
  • Technical Proficiency: Understanding of electronic components, circuit boards, and computer hardware/software.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Knowledge of machinery, tools, and their maintenance.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to solve complex problems and make informed decisions.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP systems.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Maintain focus and attention in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
