Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician I to join our team at United Engines. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical systems on heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and replace defective parts in controllers, switchboards, switches, conductors, and other electrical fixtures.
  • Install and maintain electrical components.
  • Perform preventive repair and maintenance of field electrical systems, devices, equipment, and components.
  • Test solid-state circuitry to find defective parts in digital and analog equipment and replace defective parts.
  • Install enhancements and major upgrades to electrical subsystems.
  • Design and modify motor power control equipment circuits, read, and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completion of all preventive maintenance duties.
  • Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry working with low, medium, and high voltage electrical equipment maintenance is preferred.
  • Proficient ability to calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and install instrumentation and/or electrical equipment.
  • Able to read blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures.
  • Must be capable of utilizing proper PPE.
Physical Demands

The successful candidate will be required to frequently lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally lift 65 lbs from floor to shoulder level, and exert pound force limits for push/pull. They will also be required to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance, lift, carry, and reach or handle with arms, hands, and fingers. Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers is also required.
