Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Food and Beverage plays a crucial role in overseeing the comprehensive operations of dining services, including poolside, beach, and restaurant venues. This position focuses on enhancing sales and managing all aspects of profitability, including the hiring and training of both management and hourly staff. A commitment to safety, sanitation, and quality service is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and articulate a departmental strategy that aligns with the overarching goals of the property and brand.
- Set performance objectives and ensure accountability among the leadership team.
- Inspire and motivate team members to embody the vision and mission of the brand, ensuring adherence to service standards.
- Supervise daily operations and provide support to team members, particularly during peak service times.
- Engage with guests to gather feedback on their dining experience and address any concerns promptly.
- Analyze guest feedback and performance metrics to enhance engagement and retention.
- Stay updated on market trends and introduce innovative offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Collaborate with marketing to create and implement a comprehensive promotional strategy for dining services.
- Recruit and nurture talent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a full-service restaurant environment at a managerial level.
- Proven track record of maintaining high standards in cleanliness, food quality, and guest satisfaction.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree is preferred.
