PRN Radiology Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled PRN Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team at Wooster Community Hospital. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
**Job Summary:**
The PRN Radiology Imaging Specialist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring excellent patient experience. This is a part-time position with varying hours and shifts.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform high-quality imaging procedures using radiation generating equipment
- Maintain equipment functionality and image quality through regular quality control checks and collaboration with field service engineers
- Ensure patient safety by applying appropriate radiation safety practices, minimizing exposure, and utilizing protective barriers
- Evaluate physician orders for accuracy, identify patients using two forms of ID, and accurately position patients for exams
- Provide education to patients and hospital personnel as needed, promoting effective communication and teamwork
**Requirements:**
- Registered technologist with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- BLS certification and ODH license required
- Proven clinical and didactic capabilities, with a focus on quality patient care and radiation safety
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain a safe environment for patients and coworkers
**Working Conditions:**
- Exposed to blood, body fluids, and airborne pathogens, with a requirement for protective barriers
- May be expected to work weekends, holidays, or take call
- Subject to Short Term Hours Reduction (STHR) according to policy
**Estimated Salary Range:** $35-$50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This range is based on industry standards and local market conditions.
