Key Responsibilities
The Lead HR Business Strategist will:
- Serve as a strategic consultant to a designated business unit, focusing on collaboration with senior and executive leadership to align with organizational objectives.
- Utilize a data-centric approach to propose impactful human capital strategies that yield measurable returns, including conducting industry research to inform recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for leadership development while managing employee lifecycle events, influencing leaders to incorporate leadership growth into their human capital strategies.
- Assist senior business leaders in key strategic processes such as performance evaluations, business goal formulation, talent planning, and action planning for employee experience surveys.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Compensation and Total Rewards teams to devise targeted strategies for attracting and retaining high-caliber talent.
- Partner with the People Operations Team to enhance the HR Service Delivery Model through change management initiatives, consistent feedback mechanisms, and process design.
- Provide expertise in employment-related technical and regulatory matters, including hiring, termination, performance management, and rewards, to support decisions affecting a large employee base.
- Advocate for HR programs, effectively communicating the business value of HR initiatives and managing program implementation to minimize disruption.
- Engage with senior leaders, executives, and team members to influence and enhance the employee experience.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the DISH HR shared services organization (talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, HRIS, analytics, etc.) to ensure alignment with employee needs and ongoing service improvement initiatives.
- Act as an ambassador for the employment brand, exemplifying DISH's culture and values through actions and communication.
- Comprehend and articulate departmental and corporate business objectives, including the financial implications of HR actions.
- Interpret and execute a variety of instructions presented in written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled formats.
- Meet all performance expectations set by DISH, including applicable metrics, productivity standards, and overall performance goals.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5-7+ years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources across various disciplines (e.g., Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Investigations, Leave of Absence, HR Operations, Compliance, Generalist work) with advanced knowledge in multiple areas.
- 5+ years of experience providing HR support in large organizations (approximately 5000+ employees).
- 5+ years of experience partnering with senior and/or executive-level leadership.
- Previous management experience is advantageous.
- Ability to identify trends in data and observations, and effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to make informed recommendations.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with employees, managers, and teams to understand dynamics, become a trusted partner, and influence stakeholders.
- Experience in networking and leveraging relationships to address challenges.
- Skilled in coaching and advising employees at all levels, from front-line staff to executives.
- Capacity to remain steadfast and facilitate understanding during challenging decision-making processes.
- Adept at managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with minimal oversight.
Salary range: $96,250.00 - $137,500.00 per year.

The salary range provided is a guideline. Individual total compensation may vary based on qualifications, skill level, and competencies, and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment screening, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
