The PruScore Empower Team is a highly integrated cross-discipline team responsible for driving value creation between data science, underwriting, assumption development, pricing, product strategy, and customer experience.

The Actuarial Pricing Lead will act as the Product Owner for the PruScore Core Markets and report to the Individual Life Insurance (ILI) Pricing lead within the Product Design and Innovation team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure cross-functional teams are aligned toward the overarching goal of improving the value of new business and transforming the way Prudential prices insurance risks.
  • Close collaboration with data science experts to guide the development of machine learning-based risk assessment tools for optimized product offerings and target markets.
  • Work with assumption experts to develop targeted mortality assumptions for different use cases.
  • Ensure products are priced appropriately and competitively in the market.
  • Educate key stakeholders, manage risk/audit reviews, and navigate governance paths within the New Way of Working (NWoW) framework.
Requirements:
  • Ability to own/drive deliverables, manage time, and collaborate.
  • Experience developing mortality/longevity assumptions, using traditional actual/expected methodology, GLM, or data science methods.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries or similar designation/experience.
  • Experience with actuarial projection software (e.g., AXIS) preferred.

Note:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations.

The salary range for this role is from $195,100.00 to $263, Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.

Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits.

Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
