About the Role

Trinity Health is seeking a skilled Plumber (FT) to join our team at Nazareth Hospital. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining mechanical equipment such as compressors, generators, and steam boilers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain machinery and equipment according to diagrams, schematics, operation manuals, and manufacturers' specifications.
  • Dismantle equipment to gain access to defective parts, repair or replace them, and reassemble the equipment.
  • Start, stop, adjust, and regulate equipment, observing steam flow meters, carbon dioxide recorders, pressure draft gauges, and manipulating valves and controls to meet steam requirements.
  • Adjust fuel feed and volume of air in boiler units.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ETO sterilizers.
  • Maintain air-handling units and adjust both heating and cooling.
  • Maintain and repair pneumatic devices.
  • Maintain operation of chilled water pumps and secondary water pumps.
  • Operate, fire, and maintain hand or mechanically fired pressure boilers.
  • Service elevator equipment.
  • Compute air combustion efficiency and record information.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • H.S. diploma or equivalency (required).
  • City of Philadelphia Class 'A' Stationary Engineer License (preferred).
  • Proficiency in building maintenance, plumbing/heating/electric system (required).
  • Minimum of five years and currently working in the trade (preferred).
