Job Description

Philadelphia Technician Training Institute (PTTI) is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Master Machinist Educator at our Berean campus. This position requires a candidate who can ensure program graduates are professionally prepared as manufacturing technicians, capable of making significant contributions in manufacturing facilities/industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: 40-hour work week
  • Develop and implement effective teaching methods and materials to assist students in meeting course objectives
  • Cultivate a learning environment that caters to diverse educational backgrounds and learning styles
  • Engage students in the learning process through various instructional techniques
  • Utilize Microsoft Teams for instruction as needed
  • Maintain regular office hours and grade records in a timely manner
  • Respond to requests for information in a prompt and efficient way
  • Participate actively in faculty meetings and provide support for associate faculty
  • Assist in assessing and placing students in appropriate classes based on their academic needs
  • Identify student learning outcomes, develop processes for assessment, and incorporate results into instruction to modify and improve materials in coordination with colleagues

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in the field and/or instructor roles
  • Strong understanding of the Manufacturing industry and its applications
  • Proficiency in operating multi-axis machines
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with electronic and/or electrical wiring, PLC, and coding
  • An associate degree or higher in Machining Technology, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Compensation Package:

  • Estimated Annual Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 based on qualifications and experience
  • Benefits include 401(k) with match, dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, retirement plan, and vision insurance

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts available during day or evening hours
  • Monday to Friday schedule
