Objective:


Facilitates Rehabilitation Therapy services to clients by aiding in the evaluation, treatment, program development, and execution, along with necessary documentation and communication.

Operates under the guidance of a Rehabilitation Therapist.

Requirements:

  • Capability to implement treatment strategies as outlined by the supervising therapist.
  • Proficiency in documenting daily care in accordance with established protocols.
  • Ability to effectively relay treatment responses to clients,
families, and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:
Tasks include but are not limited to the following:

Judgment and Quality Assurance

  • Delivers Rehabilitation Therapy services to clients under the supervision of a Rehabilitation Therapist, adhering to state regulations.
  • Aids the Rehabilitation Therapist in the assessment process concerning self-care, household management, functional mobility, and coordination. Assists in evaluating other areas as directed.
  • Recognizes indications for and assists in assessments at appropriate intervals under the direction of the Rehabilitation Therapist.
  • Conducts both individual and group therapy sessions as assigned by the Rehabilitation Therapist and outlined in the treatment plan, focusing on activities of daily living (ADL), functional mobility, range of motion (ROM), strength, coordination, cognitive/perceptual remediation, and functional maintenance.
  • Assists in selecting Rehabilitation Therapy techniques/media and in the sequence of activities, adapting techniques/media as indicated by client performance and following consultation with the Rehabilitation Therapist. No significant modifications to the treatment plan are made without prior consultation with the Rehabilitation Therapist.
  • Maintains acceptable client care ratios as determined by the Rehabilitation Therapist.
  • Provides treatment in accordance with established standards of practice, departmental procedures, and productivity benchmarks.
  • Consistently demonstrates sound judgment in the evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow-up of client therapy programs.
  • Participates in and contributes to Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives as required.
  • Adheres to established confidentiality standards.
  • Follows management directives.
