Job Description:

The Senior Data Integration Developer will work closely with Data Modelers to structure data requirements into a data warehouse model for reporting and analytics. This role involves designing, developing, and debugging ETL integration code to meet defined source to target mappings. The ideal candidate should be able to handle complex ETL requirements and design, as well as work with Business Stakeholders to build database objects to meet desired output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Data Modelers to structure data requirements into a data warehouse model
  • Design, develop, and debug ETL integration code
  • Handle complex ETL requirements and design
  • Work with Business Stakeholders to build database objects
  • Build, maintain, and govern the Hadoop data layer
  • Complete Unit Testing to ensure low probability of defects
  • Ensure solutions are highly usable, scalable, and maintainable
  • Understand the impacts of data layer performance factors
  • Perform code and design reviews
  • Work with the Data Architect to define data security roles
  • Enforce Hadoop design standards
  • Partner with Business Stakeholders and developers
  • Suggest solutions for development or process improvement

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • 5+ years of ETL Programming experience
  • 3+ years of experience designing and optimizing complex SQL queries
  • 3+ years of experience writing SQL relational database queries
  • 2+ years of Hadoop / Big Data development experience
