Job Overview:


Interpath Laboratory is in search of personable individuals with exceptional customer service abilities and a spotless driving history for a Healthcare Specimen Transport Specialist role.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for the collection, transportation, and delivery of medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and documentation. You will also engage with clients and team members in a courteous and professional manner.

Starting at $16.28 per hour

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 4:15 PM - 6:45 PM

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and efficient transport of medical specimens and supplies.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to clients and colleagues.
- Maintain cleanliness and perform routine maintenance on company vehicles and transport equipment.
- Adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- Document operations and complete necessary reporting.
- Assist in training and communication among couriers and relevant departments.

Licensure/Certification:
Valid driver's license with no restrictions; Clean driving record

Skills:
Proficient navigation, punctuality, and ability to follow detailed instructions

Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting of up to 30 lbs; occasional lifting of 30-60 lbs.
- Ability to enter and exit assigned vehicle; able to sit in vehicle/drive for extended periods.
- Capability to load and unload assigned vehicle, with frequent bending involved.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Regular handling of potentially infectious samples.


Ability to drive in various conditions, including urban areas, highways, and rural traffic, during all hours and weather conditions.


OHSA Category:
This position involves tasks that may expose the employee to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues. Employees in this role are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
